I was born on June 2, 1978 in Oklahoma City, OK. I have lived in Oklahoma for almost my entire life and grew up attending church regularly. During the summer of 1993 while attending Falls Creek I responded to the call of the Holy Spirit by surrendering my life to Christian ministry. My home church, Brookwood Baptist Church, allowed me to start serving in youth ministry during my high school years. I graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in 2001 and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2002 where I earned a Master of Arts in Christian Education with an emphasis in Youth Ministry. I met my wife Theresa in 2001 during my first semester of seminary and we married in 2003. Since January 2003, I have served as a youth pastor in churches in New Mexico and Oklahoma and since 2013 I have had the privilege of serving on the board of directors for Super Summer Oklahoma. God has blessed Theresa and I with three wonderful children, Emily, Callie, and Micah. I am passionate about helping students become fully devoted followers of Christ. In addition to spending time with my family, I enjoy cheering for the OU Sooners, Dallas Cowboys, and the OKC Thunder.
Colossians 3:23 guides my life and ministry as I strive to work with all my heart for God. I love seeing people, especially students, come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and then growing in their relationship with Him. I know that God is still equipping me and strengthening me as a youth pastor and I am excited for the future He has planned for my life. I am honored to now serve at First Baptist Church Dewar and cannot wait to see what God has in store for our youth.
