Serving at First Baptist Dewar.

We exist to bring glory to God by making disciples through gospel-centered worship, gospel-centered community, gospel-centered service and gospel-centered multiplication. This is our process for discipleship. Out of this gospel-centered service is the overflow of discipleship, serving those in and outside the church. One of the ways we pursue and live out this discipleship trait is through volunteer opportunities.

Dewar FBC KidMin

Volunteers in the Dewar FBC KIDSMIN minister to our babies - 6th graders during weekend worship services through singing, telling stories and teaching the truth of God's Word with the children. They check in kids, lead classrooms, provide assistance to classroom teachers and sing or play in the worship band.

We're always looking for great individuals to love and serve our kids, and help show the love of Christ to them during our gatherings. If you're someone who would like to serve, or just know a little bit more about Dewar FBC Kids, please connect with us.

Student Ministries

Volunteers in the Dewar FBC Student Ministry team minister to our 7th - 12th grade students.  There are weekly meetings on Sundays and Wednesdays.  Volunteers lead small groups, help keep students engaged in teaching, and provide feedback to the youth pastor on the needs of the students.

We want to foster the leadership qualities in our volunteers providing opportunities to grow spiritually.  We also provide a great circle of other adults for support and guidance.

Dewar First Baptist Gatherings

Sunday Gatherings:

Our Sunday morning gatherings are the beginning for most people at Dewar FBC. We need people who can serve as set-up and greeters, as well as members of the worship team.

Community Groups:

Because our Community Groups are so central to the life here at Dewar FBC, we are always in need of more people to host, lead and co-lead a group.

Generosity

Donating your time is not the only way to serve at Dewar FBC. There are recurring costs to operating and staffing our ministry, as well as helping us do work throughout our community and the world. We believe that God calls us to give, and to give generously. We give you a chance to worship in this way on our website.

Discipleship

As Jesus left this world, his parting words to his disciples were: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." We challenge you to be willing to serve and make disciples with us.
